Bookkeeper

  • Accounts processing and reconciliations to support monthly reporting; managing cashflow
  • $75,000 plus super (pro rata), 0.8 FTE – 2-year fixed term contract to June 2025
  • Based anywhere in Australia, work from home, eliminate the daily commute

Role Summary: Responsible for the finance function; processing, reconciliations, reporting, compliance and process improvement; keep leadership financially informed.

The Opportunity

To be successful in this role you will be able to:

  • Process client and supplier invoices, bank reconciliations and payroll and assist with project accounting.
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage weekly cash commitments and arrange bank transfers.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process.
  • Take responsibility for complying with the requirements of the ATO and other regulators.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements.
  • Manage the external auditor.

The Candidate

You will be experienced in:

  • Working as an accounts all-rounder responsible for payroll, income and expenditure.
  • Xero and MS Excel software.
  • Accounting for small business or a not-for-profit organisation.
  • You will have a tertiary qualification in accounting or bookkeeping.

This is a part-time position working 30 hours across the week on a fixed term contract to 30 June 2025 with the potential for extension.
