Community Engagement Officer

The opportunity

  • Use your skills to support your community voice to be heard by the government.
  • Support the organisation and delivery of key community engagement activities.
  • Leverage your relationships and networks in your community to support a successful engagement process.
  • Play a key role as part of a dynamic team of CFI Practitioners leading the engagement process.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in community engagement and/or community development sector designing and delivering community engagement processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of local social issues impacting on the Rockhampton area and current social-change initiatives underway. 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to hit-the-ground work autonomously as well as in a dynamic team environment.
  • Experience communicating effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander organisations and community and non-government agencies.
